Can one use the same blender (not the stick blender or hand blender) to blend chili and after that baby food?

Just wondering if the spiciness will get into the baby food. Or is there a way to clean or de-sterilise the blender after grinding the chilli paste?

    A dishwasher would probably work, but by hand, Id soak it in vinegar/water bath.
