Popular Cordless Blenders

Sunday, February 28th, 2010
David H. Urmann asked:

Cordless blenders are a portable tool to make drinks, shakes and juices everywhere. There are various brands and styles of cordless blenders being sold at reasonable prices.

A blender is a kitchen appliance used to grind and mix ingredients together. It can liquify some solid foods like fruits or vegetables, or turn them to puree. It also helps dissolve some foods to be better mixed with other ingredients when cooking.

A blender can also reduce some foods to bite sizes. For example, it can chop peanuts a bit before being mixed to soups or sauces. It can also crush cubes of ice, or dissolve it further to crushed ice.

A typical blender has a glass container where the ingredients to be processed are placed, a plastic lid to close during operation, blades at the bottom which actually process the foods, measuring gradients at the side, and a couple of buttons that set the speed. The speed controls the fineness or coarseness of the output. Generally, a higher speed will produce finer output while slower rotation will produce more controlled and coarse output.

The blades are run by a motor. The first blenders produced have motors than run on electricity. These have cords plugged in a power outlet. However, preparing food in the kitchen can sometimes be messy. And it is unavoidable sometimes to wet the working area. In this case, the cords can be quite a hassle, and pose some danger to accidents.

Recently, kitchen appliance manufacturers introduced cordless blenders. It does away with the hassle of power cords. Instead, it usually runs on batteries. The good thing about this is, it can be operated even on sudden power outages. And the batteries are conveniently rechargeable.

There are several cordless blenders coming out in the market these days. These machines combine easiness and mobility in making drinks. Without the hassle of cords, they can be used anywhere.

Here are some of the current popular cordless blenders:

The CSB-44 Cordless Rechargeable Hand Blender is from Cuisinart. It has a contemporary style amidst being handheld and cordless. It is made from plastic material and comes in white design. Cuisinart is considered one of the leading manufacturers of kitchen appliances.

The La Salsa Hand Blender has a contemporary design and handheld features. It has a dual speed motor capability as well as a capacity for mounting up to 21 containers. It has a white, plastic design. La Salsa is manufactured by Salton.

The Blend Master Jr is also handheld, featuring the same contemporary style as with other similar blenders. It also has dual speeds as well as being motor-powered and cordless. It is also made of white plastic.

The SmartStick Extendable Shaft CSB-55 Hand Blender is cordless, handheld and features a commercial style. It has the convenience of a 4-speed motor. It also has a plastic white design.

The RoadPro Cordless Blender (RPSC-876) is powerful. It has a whooping 10,000 RPM motor capability excellent for mixing drinks and crushing ice. The batteries are conveniently rechargeable.

It is impact resistant, having 48 ounces of plastic carafe with increment markings and an easy pouring handle for superbly mixed drinks. Thus, its weight base secures the machine while being used. For easy clean-up, its two-piece lid is detachable.

Categories of Food Blenders

Sunday, February 28th, 2010
Lee Laz asked:

There are different types of appliances or food blenders that we have in the home and these include fridges, ovens and other smaller appliances like microwaves and toasters. Among all these appliances, we can declare that the blenders and juicers are the most useful ones around.

It is important to remember that the blenders and juicers are very vital appliances in the kitchen. Though many people can perform most of the tasks in the kitchen without them, they can be used widely to help in saving time as well as energy. If only many people were exposed to these blenders and enlightened on the purpose they could serve, they could be appreciating them today but we are not too far from this.

With blenders available in the kitchen, one is able to perform different tasks. Not only can blenders be used to make shakes and smoothies, but they can be used for other different purposes. They can be used for crashing ice as well as address the issue of dressings and creating sauces. There are different varieties of blenders as there is with juicers.

The kitchen can be equipped with a variety of blenders. A normal blender is the biggest blender and the one that is strong enough to crush ice; it is also referred to as the total blender. The other types of blenders are the ones that are used to chop different types of food and they are smaller in sizes, these are called the Food processors.

Other types of blenders may include stick and immersion blenders, these ones are also called the hand held blenders because they are normally hand held sticks composing tiny blades at the bottom part. The best thing with the blades is that they are convenient at work and perform well when mixing ingredients. So many people are turning to the use of these blenders in the homes rather than it has been before in the cooking industry.

It is important to understand what it is that you want in a blender. In the first place you should realize the main purpose for the blender. For instance if you would like to use the blender for crushing ice and making smoothies, therefore you need a natural blender and if you would like to perform other tasks apart from these ones, therefore you need an immersion blender

To ensure that you are on the safe side after making the right decision on the type of a blender you want, the only secrete is having wide information on the brands of blenders from different companies. You can achieve this knowledge from visiting a variety of online companies and make the bets choice that suits you most.

I’m buying an immersion blender for my dad for his birthday–he’s always been the chef in our family. He has pretty big hands and our kitchen is already pretty full of gadgets. What are the choices and what is the best one? Easy to use is a good thing here!

What are some affordable blenders?

Friday, February 26th, 2010
Katttt :) asked:

Today, my brother decided to make a smoothie. And while he was blending it, he got aggresive with the blender and started shaking it and the top part of the blender fell off and broke. My mom threw out the blender because it was useless to only have the bottom part of the blender, but it was her favorite, and only, blender. I want to buy her a new one as a gift. But what are some affordable blenders that I can find at Wal-Mart, Target, and places like that.
Please provide prices if possible! :)
Thanks,
Kathy.
