How do you continuously render several files in blender?

James M asked:

How do you render automatically and consecutively many files in order to make a movie/animation in blender? i have been able to render one file and move the camera around, and make it into a kinda movie. But, so far no luck in rendering multiple files (so the image would be animated) and make it into a movie.
